The old Scorticata stands at the top of a high rocky spur with the remains of the Malatesta Fortress and the Tower. This is one of the prettiest parts of the Rimini area, with untouched nature and the village of Montebello where the Guidi Fortress, notorious for the legend of the ghost of Azzurrina, is situated. Further down the valley is Saiano cliff, stranded on the bed of the Marecchia River, which bears a Marian sanctuary and an eighth century tower. Patron: Saint Vicinius (26th august).
